During this elective students will be introduced to different styles of art and design from different cultures from around the world. All of these styles are connected to a central theme "the life circle" -- a theme that has existed for more than 4,000 years. A new style will be introduced every two to three weeks.

Students will learn about these styles, use a sketchbook to explore personal ideas, practice and develop different techniques, and build a portfolio of work.
